Fundraising for Voices of Hope

The spirit of community support and philanthropy shines through from the success of our Murray Invitational Golf Tournament. Our fundraising event showcased the power of unity in driving positive change for Voices of Hope through active participation and collective efforts.

Murray Invitational Golf Tournament

In 2023, we hosted the 1st Annual Murray Invitational Golf Tournament. This event was a huge success, raising $10,000 for Voices of Hope. Voices of Hope is a local organization that provides support to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Lincoln. The event, held at the NuMark Golf Course, drew attention and participation from community members and businesses alike.

Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, participants, and the Murray team, the tournament exceeded expectations. Raffle tickets and sponsorships played a significant role in reaching the fundraising goal. The funds raised help Voices of Hope provide much-needed services to those in crisis.

This annual event has quickly become a staple in our calendar. It serves as a reminder of how community action in Lincoln, NE, can make a real difference.

Promoting the Event

Before the tournament, our team worked hard to promote the event. We partnered with local media outlets to spread the word. This helped us secure sponsors and encourage community participation. 

In addition, the Murray team appeared on TIMFM to raise awareness about Voices of Hope and the tournament. Because of the leveraged media partnerships, we maximized the reach of our efforts.

Supporting Youth through Visionary Youth

At Murray Inspection Services, we take pride in supporting Visionary Youth, an organization in Lincoln dedicated to uplifting local youth. 

Back 2 School Event

One of our most significant contributions is our sponsorship of the Back 2 School Event. This annual event provides free haircuts and backpacks to children in need, making sure that they start the school year prepared and confident.

In 2024, we donated backpacks and helped promote the event through our media partners. The event, held at the College of Hair Design, brought together local businesses, volunteers, and families. It's more than just about school supplies; it's about giving students the confidence to succeed.

Give to Lincoln Day

Give to Lincoln Day is another opportunity where we stepped in to help make a difference. The event supports various nonprofits in Lincoln, including Visionary Youth. To help, we donated media coverage to promote this day of giving. Through media promotion, we helped maximize donations by highlighting the importance of this community-driven event.

Each donation made during Give to Lincoln Day has a greater impact, thanks to a matching fund. Our involvement in this initiative reflects our commitment to long-term community action in Lincoln, NE.

Holiday Spirit with "Stuff the Bus" Toy Drive

In December 2023, we had the pleasure of collaborating once again with Visionary Youth on the "Stuff the Bus" Toy Drive, an initiative aimed at brightening the holidays for children in need. We invited the local community to join us by donating new, unwrapped toys at Liberty First Credit Union, turning generosity into joy.

We are particularly proud to have been a part of this important event. However, the overwhelming success of the toy drive was a direct result of the incredible support from the residents of Lincoln. 

Thanks to our collective efforts, we were able to bring smiles to many children's faces during the holiday season. We are proud to be part of such a caring community and look forward to future opportunities to make a difference in the lives of younger residents.

Building Homes with Habitat for Humanity

We've also partnered with Habitat for Humanity–an organization that works tirelessly to provide safe and affordable homes for families. We're proud to play a part in this by offering our roofing expertise. 

In both Lincoln and Grand Island, we donated new roofs to families in need. These donations are part of a broader effort to support affordable housing in Nebraska. A safe, secure roof is necessary for any home, and our contributions are intended to help families build better lives.
